Can anyone recommend a good doggie daycare? So far, I'm planning on touring Cozy Inn, Airy Pines, Country Lane Pet Hotel, and Camp Bow Wow North this Saturday. The big pups and I live in Penn Hills. The requirements have to include not too far from home, outside playtime, large accomodations, trained staff, decent hours, etc.
Thanks, Mindy, Tonweya, & Savannah |

Mindy,
I have taken my Swissy to Camp Bow Wow in Greentree for about 4 years now and it has been wonderful. My dog sits by the door the mornings he goes to camp because he can't wait to go. He has had some medical issues over the years and the staff at CBW has been great about giving him his meds and watching over him to make sure he is well. I never have any reservations about leaving him there when I am out of town. I know he is getting great care. My pup just had major surgery about 2 weeks ago. One of the staffers at camp offered to come to my house during the day to help me with the dog if I needed. To me that is dedication! Good luck! |

My vote goes to Camp Bow Wow...we go to the one in Castle Shannon (I know that you said you are in the North Hills, but we have been to other "Camps" and they all seem to have very high standards!) at least 2 times a week with Molly! She is always very shy around new people and they have worked very hard to help her feel "comfortable" in her "home away from home!"
Once we had to board for a couple nights and they previously had reservations for another place (this was before we started going there on a regular basis)...the other guy backed out last minute, we already had our reservations made. Camp Bow Wow fit both dogs in for their "interviews" and even took them to the vet to receive their Bordatella...the other place required it yearly but since they require it every 6 months, the dogs needed an update. I had to call the vet and leave a credit card number and the staff made sure the dogs went to get their update! |

I have only heard great things about Lucky Paws (Its North, off of the Cranberry exit). I enjoy their park but have yet to use there sitting services. Its worth a visit. Everyone I have ever talked to loves it and I personally can say the owner is very nice and seems to always be there.
